"Little girl, oh little girl... Why were you always blue?
You were daddy’s little girl and your mama loved you too"
Joanne
You were a little girl lost,
Very seldom smiling, always kind of sad,
Like you were on the outside, looking in.
Friends often thought you were aloof
...Maybe even mad.
Were you born to be unhappy
From another life gone by
Or was it in your DNA
To live life in a constant sigh?
You never seemed to appreciate
The life that you were given.
You seemed to be existing
Instead of fully livin’.
You always longed for tomorrow
And finding something new
And now you live with guilt
For hurting everyone you loved
And everyone that loved you.
Your future's coming to an end,
The present cannot last.
Your dreams are filled with loved ones
You find yourself living in the past.
